The Penrose 76th Annual Apple Day is on Saturday, October 1, 2011. The theme this year is
"150 Years of History--Trappers to Tourists."

7:00 am – 4:00 pm
(Subject to last minute changes)
Theme: “150 Years of History--Trappers to Tourists”
6:00 am VFW Breakfast (biscuits & gravy, breakfast burritos, coffee, orange juice)
Penrose Volunteer Fire Department Breakfast (pancakes, bacon, sausage,
eggs, & choice of coffee, juice, or milk) Adults- $5; 12 & under-Free
7:00 am Penrose Park & Recreation Breakfast
Other pies will go to pie tent, in front of car wash.
& Men’s Softball Tournament, and a Dance is scheduled.
8:00 am Penrose Elementary School- Fun Run (Penrose School health trail) (registration 7:15-7:45am)
9:00 am-4:00 pm Vendors, along Broadway and the cross street Fremont Ave.
Antique Car Show on north side of Fremont Ave.
Penrose School PTO will hold a silent auction
10:00 am Parade Lineup
10:30 am Pre- Parade
11:00am-1:00pm VFW will be serving Brats, Chips, & drink; $5
12:00/noon Stage Announcements & Awards. Winners from Parade and
Apple Pie Contest.
Senior Center – Lunch – Pulled Pork Sandwich, Homemade Potato Salad, Baked Beans,
& Drink- $5 Ice Cream-$0.50 Scoop
Kirkwood Church – Lunch – Lasagna & Chicken Noodle (A-$6, Sr.-$5,
6-12-$3, & 5 & under- free)
Free slice of Apple Pie will be handed out in pie tent (next to Chamber Tent)
11:00-3:00 pm VFW- Atomic Fireballs Band (no cover charge)
3:00 pm Classic Car Show Awards
1:00 pm -3:30 pm Live Entertainment on stage:
